GTG Trader Core is a centralized dependency framework designed to provide shared code, performance optimization, and enhanced stability features for all my trader-related mods.
Why was GTG Trader Core suddenly released, and why is it now a dependency for other trader-related mods?
As the number of trader mods I release grows and their features become more complex, maintaining each one independently has become increasingly difficult, and there is a lot of redundant code across these mods. Therefore, I have released this core framework to consolidate advanced technical features into a single, efficient module for easier maintenance and future updates.
Why do some mods still function without the core for now?
You might notice that some existing trader mods still function even if the framework is not enabled, despite warnings about missing dependencies in the mod list.
This is because GTG Trader Core is currently in a transitional deployment phase. Older versions of individual trader mods still contain their own localized legacy code, allowing them to run independently for the time being. However, all future mod releases will strictly require GTG Trader Core. Please note that while older mods will continue to function, you will not be able to benefit from the centralized performance optimizations and stability improvements in the future without this framework.
During future major version transitions (such as RimWorld updating to version 1.7), I will remove all independent code from sub-mods to eliminate redundancy. At that point, GTG Trader Core will become a mandatory requirement for all GTG orbital trader mods to function properly.
Another dependency? Is this framework going to constantly run in the background and tank my TPS/CPU?
Not at all. This core sits completely dormant during normal gameplay (zero background ticking).
It only wakes up for a split second when a trader from my mods spawns or when you open their trade window, and goes right back to sleep the moment you're done. In fact, because it replaces the base game's clunky item-scanning code with a much faster caching method, it actually boosts your performance when interacting with my traders. Your trade windows will load faster and smoother than vanilla.

GTG Trader Core Key Features:
1. It bypasses the base game's inefficient trading logic by introducing a custom, highly optimized generation engine strictly for my trader-related mods. This maximizes structural stability and significantly reduces CPU overhead when these traders spawn. It remains stable even in high-load environments with hundreds of mods, preventing UI lag and startup hangs.
2. It offers excellent compatibility. Using dynamic scanning technology, the system automatically detects and stocks weapons, armor, and other items added by your other mods and integrates them specifically into the inventory pools of the supported traders.
3. It includes a built-in "Self-Healing" mechanism tailored for these custom trader inventories. It automatically identifies and isolates potentially unstable items, permanently removing them from the inventory. Meanwhile, the system generates safe alternatives to restock, ensuring your trading flow remains uninterrupted.
4. Intercepted faulty items can be viewed via the Mod Settings panel. You can browse the names of all items intercepted by the Core and manually choose whether to clear the list.
