Firefly - Crashlanded Scenario
A Firefly (TV Show) inspired scenario combining lore elements of Firefly and Rimworld. Used in conjunction with Prepare Carefully mod to create 9 colonists based on Serenity crew. Screenshots included of all character sheets made using Prepare Carefully.
---Attempt to survive and find a way to rebuild your ship as fast as you can! Choose from 5 of the 9 available crew members, as 4 will be scattered throughout the world after the escape pods launch and may hopefully be encountered later by your colony. Due to their sudden and unprepared escape, resources such as medicine or silver are low or absent.

"Here’s how it is: Earth got used up, so we moved out and terraformed a whole galaxy of new worlds. Some became Glitterworlds—rich and flush with ultra-tech and archotechs. Some, not so much—Rimworlds, where folk scrape by with what they can scavenge. The Core Systems, them as formed the Alliance, waged war to bring everyone under their rule. A few idiots tried to fight it—myself included.
I’m Malcolm Reynolds, captain of Serenity. She’s a transport ship, Firefly class. Got a good crew: fighters, pilot, mechanic. Even picked up a preacher for some reason, and a bona fide spacer companion. There’s a doctor, too—him and his genius sister are on the run from the Alliance, so they’re keeping a low profile, you understand. You got a job, we can do it. Don’t much care what it is."
The Serenity crew were returning to atmo after scavenging an abandoned orbital station, when suddenly they were hit by an Alliance orbital missile. The escape pods scattered them all over the planet.
