This mod is dependent on [OA] Ratkin Gene Expansion. It features a near-complete remake and overhaul of the original baseline scenario *Snowstorm Orphan*, including but not limited to the following additions and revisions:

  • Dozens of unique blizzard-themed events
  • Multiple new global world events
  • Brand-new weather effects and environmental hazards
  • Overhauled blizzard visual effects and custom overlay layers
  • Exclusive blizzard-related functional buildings
  • New Ratkin-exclusive weapons and apparel, craftable post-ending completion
  • New unique plant: Snowstorm Crystal Tree, a cross-save memento unlockable after beating the scenario
  • Extensive balance optimizations and adjustments for the original baseline Snowstorm Orphan
  • New raid types and deadlier foes that thrive within blizzard conditions
  • Exclusive endgame quest added: Long Road Home

This mod features moderately high difficulty. Prepare accordingly before selecting this scenario, especially when spawning in tundra, ice sheets, or high-latitude freezing biomes.

Q: Can I add this mod mid-playthrough?
A: It will only affect saves using the original baseline *Snowstorm Orphan* scenario. No interference with other save files, as nearly all mod changes are confined to its custom scenario.

A: Unlockable content will function normally, though this practice is not recommended.

A: Blizzards will not spawn naturally. Manually enable periodic "Sudden Temperature Drop" events in scenario settings to trigger blizzard content; all other blizzard-related mechanics follow this rule.

A: Ask again and face execution.

Q: Can I continue old saves from the original baseline Snowstorm Orphan?
A: No compatibility whatsoever. Beyond sharing the same name, the two versions are entirely distinct in content.
