I absolutely love some parts of it - the new resource chains, the lovely art - but other parts of it feel... bothersome, to me. The mod is built around being a complete medieval experience, which also makes it pretty hard to deal with when I'm trying to go to space. It also doesn't mesh well with many of the other popular mods. I decided to fix that myself. And so, here is a collection of over 800 patches! An overview of the content changed by this mod Extensive mod integrations! This mod is not only compatible with Vanilla Factions Expanded - Medieval 2, I actually recommend that you use them both. Overlaps, from the whole alchemy system to minor things like heater shields, have been intelligently resolved. Medieval Overhaul's castle walls might be removed, but that doesn't mean I've just broken things. I've replaced all relevant symbols so Medieval Overhaul's fancy castle maps will generate with VFE-M2 castle walls instead! I've resolved many, many content conflicts. For example, Medieval Overhaul's sugar is removed if you have Vanilla Cooking Expanded which has its own sugar, but I've transferred the Vanilla Expanded suger onto the Medieval Overhaul sugarcane production chain to stay in the spririt of the mod. A lot of stuff has been cut out! There are parts of Medieval Overhaul that are either obsolete, or feel out of place in Rimworld. Treatise books, for example, predate books and are thus pretty janky. They've been removed in favor of books from the base game. I didn't just mindlessly throw stuff out, mind you. Although some of the rustic beds may have removed, I have kept the idea of beds costing linen to make and applied it to both vanilla beds as well as beds from mods like Vanilla Furniture Expanded! A lot of thought went into making things smooth and cohesive. ...and so much more to list! With over 800 patches, there's simply too many changes to list here. Check out the discussions page for a list of all changes! Q&A How's perform- wait, this is a collection of patches. What do you mean you improved- Yes! This mod should (admittedly, marginally) improve performance as some of the stuff I've removed have custom WorkGivers, and I've safely removed those as well. Did you really spend hours resolving vegetable overlaps? Yeah. I have some feedback! Great! Please send it my way. Although I've tested this mod a bit in development mode, it hasn't gone through a full run yet. It should be fully playable but there may be things that I have missed, so feel free to play with the mod and send any feedback you may have my way! How compatible is this mod with other mods? Great care has been taken to ensure compatibility with a lot of mods (or at least mods I play with) and, say, any Vanilla Expanded mod should work perfectly fine. However, I want to point out that this is a mod whose explicit purpose is to remove vast swaths of content. There's ought to be some incompatibilities, so temper your expectations. It runs with no errors on my current mod list of 200 mods, but a mod list with, say, 600 mods may not work so smoothly.
