Gravship Conquest- RimSkyBlockDLC

RimSkyBlock: Starship — Odyssey Expansion A functional expansion for RimSkyBlock: Sky Island, bringing a complete starship construction and combat experience to the Odyssey DLC. Features 20 turret types, 2 hull wall variants, 3 shield systems, and a full main story quest chain with 3 distinct endings. This mod was created with the kind permission of the authors of Oberonia Aurea and Milira. Related storylines for both are included in-game — however, neither mod is required as a hard dependency. The crossover is purely lore-based, and all assets are independently created. As the Emperor of the Empire, you have finally completed the construction of your first orbital starport. As it holds station above the Imperial orbit and your first gravship joins the fleet… the Chairman of the Oberonia Aurea Trade Union contacts you, with what seems to be a very special request…… English√ Chinese√
1. Starship Combat Built entirely upon the vanilla Odyssey framework, delivering a RimWorld-native starship combat experience. Unlike SOS2's cross-map strikes, you must first deploy your starship to the target map before executing any military action. Turrets aboard your starship will automatically open fire, targeting enemy grav-engines — shots pass through friendly walls, but are blocked by enemy hull walls and fortifications. Rapid-fire weapons excel at shield-breaking. Explosive weapons excel at breaching walls. Every shot consumes your ship's power — knowing when to hold fire is a lesson every good captain must learn.
2. Resource System Building a starship demands the combined effort and resources of an entire civilization. Forget the small-scale operations of a single colony — as Emperor, you must coordinate the resources of your whole Empire. Iron and grain are merely numbers on a ledger; you may draw from or deposit into the Imperial treasury at will. From this day forward, what you govern is an Empire. (This system integrates deeply with the core gameplay of RimSkyBlock: Sky Island.)
3. Technology System Starship technologies are divided into four tiers: Imperial → Oberonia Aurea → Milira → Transcendent Intelligence. The Imperial and Oberonia Aurea tiers are currently fully implemented. From basic and advanced turrets, to Senior and Master-class weapons, all the way to ultra-heavy planetary defense cannons — 20+ weapons across 5 weapon families are currently available. Main Storyline The Oberonia Aurea Trade Union The Oberonia Aurea Trade Union is a private commercial federation operating independently of the Imperial political structure, with roots stretching back to the earliest days of the Oberonia Aurea Empire's expansion into the galaxy. The Union maintains its own armed fleet and mercenary corps, with trading posts and transit harbors scattered across the known galaxy. For outsiders, dealing with the Trade Union means generous material rewards — but also means never fully knowing what cards they hold. The Union welcomes partners of any race and any background, so long as the silver coins ring loud enough.
5. Side Quests & Events Currently 6 side events are implemented, each with custom-built maps. ① Assault the Space Station An extremely dangerous operation — the station is armed with ultra-heavy planetary defense weapons capable of collapsing your ship's entire shield system in moments. But the rewards for a successful occupation are considerable: captured stations can be developed through the expatriate official management interface. ② Random Orbital Encounter Events At regular intervals, random events will appear in your orbital space, including: · Interstellar Merchant Fleets · Orbital Pirate Vessels · Drifting Derelict Ships · Civilian Transit Freighters · Oberonia Aurea Trade Union Combined Fleets Each encounter offers different interaction options — you may bribe them, trade with them, or simply destroy them. Unique Start — Hegemony For players who haven't experienced Sky Island, or simply don't want to slowly build up an Empire from scratch, we offer a dedicated scenario start that drops you directly into the starship gameplay. If you wish to integrate the Hegemony start into other scenarios, simply add the Hegemony event to them.
Frequently Asked Questions Q: Is it Combat Extended compatible? A: No dedicated CE compatibility patches have been made at this time. Q: Is it compatible with vanilla Odyssey expansions? A: No dedicated compatibility work has been done yet, though it is planned. Since this mod is built entirely on the vanilla Odyssey framework, theoretical compatibility should be high. Q: Is it compatible with SOS2? A: This mod operates on the vanilla Odyssey framework and is a separate system from SOS2. Note: if you deploy your starship over an enemy ship map, all enemy turrets will cease functioning — this is a fundamental system-level limitation. Q: Can turrets from other mods be placed on starships? A: Compatibility has been specifically addressed — turrets from other mods will be intercepted by the shield system, but may still pass through hull walls, potentially reducing overall difficulty. Mixing turrets from other mods is not recommended, but if you insist, it won't completely break the experience. (A dedicated building has been added to increase grav-engine health, making it significantly harder to destroy even with wall-penetrating attacks.) Q: How is the performance? A: Extensive optimization work has been done: · All iterative checks use long intervals to avoid frequent calls · The shield system has been overhauled — instead of scanning every projectile on the map, shields only check projectiles within their immediate vicinity, dramatically reducing overhead · Projectile speed has been increased to reduce the number of simultaneous on-screen bullets Benchmark results: 6 ships, 20 rotary cannons at 1800 RPM firing simultaneously with nearly a thousand projectiles on screen — TPS remains stable at 60–100. Q: What's planned next? A: 1. Milira storyline content 2. Starship deployment over settlements for aerial strikes, including settlement capture and defense support 3. Enemy starship offensive actions and space station siege events (you didn't think it would stay peaceful forever, did you?) 4. More surprises Q: Do I need to install Oberonia Aurea or Milira? A: No. The crossover uses only the lore and worldbuilding of both mods. All assets are independently created — no additional mods are required.
