Cats Eye-class small vessel “Modoki”
This craft was built using a “Generic Cat's Eye”—a heavily modified knockoff of the Cat's Eye designed by Shiraishi [url=http%3A%2F%2FKira%28https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nicovideo.jp%2Fuser%2F24682170%29]Kira(https://www.nicovideo.jp/user/24682170)[/url], a Japanese artist who enjoys a fair amount of recognition.
I’ve confirmed it can reach 60 knots, but due to size restrictions, the cooling system can’t keep up, so it’s strictly a carrier-based craft. (As a side note, due to my desperate attempts to improve cooling, there’s a chance it might not even fit on Shiraishi Kira’s dedicated Cat’s Eye carrier, the Veyrinite.)
Also, it lacks not only the connectors required for installation but also fuel connectors. I ran out of steam before I could install it—the balance is tricky ().
Incidentally, the only features of this “Modoki” vessel are a 1x1 modular 36-cylinder engine and ship-side lights that comply with Japanese maritime law—nothing particularly interesting.
2026/03/17 I’ve color-coded each pipe. Also, since I’ve installed all the necessary connectors, it should now be possible to mount and secure it to the Veirinite. Detachment is done with a single key.
2026/03/18 I fixed issues such as refrigerant leaks caused by piping errors, paint overspray, and the omission of disembarkation equipment (the ladder for exiting the ship). Also, by mapping the W/S input from the seat to the gyro’s pitch, I made it possible to adjust the attitude. As a result, even though I’ve barely touched the engine area, I confirmed a speed of 70 knots.
