This is Type 2, an upgraded version of the “Modoki” Cat's Eye-style small boat I posted about earlier, featuring a replacement of the engine with a medium-sized modular 6-cylinder unit and the addition of autopilot, a map display, a fuel gauge, and other features. As before, the engine runs extremely hot, and the throttle is quickly limited to prevent overheating.
Just like with the “Modoki” Cat's Eye-style small boat, the microcontroller with proper functionality is the one released by workshop, so this is simply a combination of existing components.
We have listed the microcontrollers and other items received from the workshop as required materials.
The speed displayed on the speedometer (the display labeled "speed") located in front of the helm is in knots. However, you can change the display to km/h using the microcontroller installed at the bow. (After selecting the appropriate microcontroller, you can change the unit to km to display km/h.)
Update 4/12: We have integrated the onboard map microcontroller with the autopilot microcontroller. This allows the autopilot to operate using waypoint sharing via wireless communication in a format supported by the map microcontroller we are using. Now, instead of having to manually ask for coordinates and mark waypoints on the game map, the lead boat can set the autopilot to navigate to waypoints registered on the map.
Update 4/30: We have reviewed the engine control parameters and revised the cooling system. I had noticed that the throttle restriction triggered too quickly as a countermeasure against overheating, but it turned out I had simply set the threshold for the throttle restriction to 70 degrees. We have now adjusted it so that the throttle restriction is triggered only when the temperature reaches 100 degrees. Additionally, following the review of the control parameters, we confirmed a maximum speed of 82 knots (151 km/h).
Update 5/09: Due to a shortage in power generation, we have added a generator and a solar power system.
