(Phinix’s Pawn Trade Add-on Mod)
This mod addresses the inability to conduct triangular trade between superintelligent entities (players).
This add-on for Phinix mod adds a comprehensive pawn (character) trading system.
Features
The trade interface opens within the Phinix interface, at the same level as Chat and Trade, and includes three sections:
[b] Direct Trade [/b]
Player‑to‑player real‑time negotiation. Both sides can add pawns and silver; the exchange occurs simultaneously upon confirmation.
[b] Public Market [/b]
A bulletin‑board‑style market. List your pawns for sale, other players can browse and purchase; buyers receive the pawn via drop‑pod.
[b] Rental System [/b]
Lease your pawns: set daily rent, deposit, and maximum rental days. Pawns return automatically when the term expires; if they die, a backup copy is resurrected.
Technical Notes
The mod uses serialization/deserialization to transmit pawn data. Built‑in XML filtering automatically adapts to different players’ mod setups.
Equipment, implants, etc., belonging to missing mods are safely skipped during deserialization—no crashes.（Maybe）
Known Issues
Several hediff/need‑related warnings may appear in the log when receiving a pawn (see image 4). This is caused by a timing quirk of RimWorld’s vanilla Scribe system and does not affect functionality.
(Tynan probably never imagined anyone would serialize/deserialize pawns and send them to another player.)
