- RimZone Core Framework — shared classes/defs/utilities so other RimZone modules don’t duplicate code or clash with each other.
- Radiation System — a full rebalance of vanilla Pollution: new accumulation/reduction rules and medical interactions (fits “S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-style” scenarios).
- Settings & Compatibility — careful integration with mods/UI, safe fallbacks when optional dependencies are missing, plus smooth tuning options for all RimZone add-ons.
- Localization EN | RU — keys/texts are kept separate and won’t break saves when updating.
- Optimization & Stability — less log spam, more predictable behavior in combat and emergencies.
Radiation mechanics
- Basically it’s vanilla Pollution, but with important changes.
- Radiation does NOT decrease passively.
- When irradiated: any alcohol now provides passive radiation reduction.
- If you have the Items add-on: you can use Antiradin (medkits also reduce radiation now) and vodka to lower radiation.
Recommended load order:
- Harmony
- RimWorld modules
- RimZone Core
- Other RimZone modules (Items / Anomalies etc.)

Q: Is this standalone content or a “library”?
A: Mainly a foundation. Core can add some systems/logic on its own, but its main purpose is to be the base for other RimZone mods.
Q: What exactly does Core provide to other modules?
A:
- Shared “infrastructure” (classes/components/utilities) so RimZone modules work as one ecosystem instead of random patches.
- A unified base for radiation/medical/event logic and future expansions.
Q: Can I add it to an existing save?
A: Usually yes. If you already use other RimZone modules — install Core first.
Important: removing Core mid-save can break dependent modules/saves (like any framework mod).
Q: The game shows red errors in the log. What should I do?
A:
- Double-check the load order (see above).
- Disable mods that heavily patch radiation/pollution and test for conflicts.
- If it still happens — attach Player.log and your mod list in the comments/Issue.
Q: “Mouse position stack is not empty…” — is it caused by RimZone Core?
A: Most of the time it’s a UI conflict (scroll views/widgets) between mods. Core tries not to crash, but if you see it — a log + UI mod list is needed.

- Most common conflicts: mods that heavily rewrite vanilla Pollution.
- If you use multiple “pollution overhaul” mods — place RimZone Core above them or test them one by one.
- I actively add CE patches alongside new add-ons.

- Balancing all modules / improving compatibility with other mods.
- Polishing localizations (RU | EN).
- Preparing the foundation for RimZone Weapons / Armor / Factions and more.
