In the colder, more isolated regions of the world can be found massive pools of bacteria rich water. The ground around them stained bright orange. Strangely pretty, but not fertile. What is more striking are the giant creatures, normally microbial. While calling them giant microbes seems to be an oxymoron, that's all they can be described as. Did they evolve in the strange conditions of this rimworld, or were they put here?
This mod adds a new biome, the primordial geysers, themed off of yellowstone's rainbow geysers. It spawns in cold, high elevation areas. Large impassable pools dot the landscape, surrounded by bacterial soil, it cannot support plant life, but has natural beauty. Patches of rich soil among mostly rocky soil require targeted growing.
Two new plants are included,
Juniper shrubs, they provide berries, but grow much slower than berry bushes, and have a higher yield.
Bindweed, a wildflower that provides ground cover. Very messy, but somewhat pretty.
Four new animals are added,
The Giant Tardigrade, the size of a muffalo, these pack animals can be milked for microbe squeezin's. An odd yet surprisingly palatable food item.
The Hydrazoa, a viciously hungry predator with lashing tentacles. These are incredibly hostile creatures, but somewhat fragile as long as you hit them first. Slightly larger than a wolf.
The Flatworm Hound, a dumb, friendly creature. They are very low maintenance and will eat just about anything. They can nuzzle as well.
The Jellybird, seemingly a floating jellyfish, though more accurately they are a medusa. They are quite small and weak, but have a toxic sting that can quickly cause problems. Luckily, they are usually docile.
All giant microbes are incredibly resistant to temperature. extreme heat, and extreme cold don't bother them. These creatures provide germleather, which is incredibly insulating, resistant to blunt damage, but is practically worthless against slashing. Their meat leaves a lot to be desired, similar to insect meat. But in a pinch, it's certainly better than nothing.
For version 1.4.
Note that on rare occasions, the world map conditions to spawn this biome will not be fulfilled. In those cases, just generate another world and it should show up.

I appreciate any thoughts on balance (though I am completely within my rights to be lazy and not do anything):
for example: creatures too strong, too weak, creatures have screwed up bodytype files, needs more flora variation, which mod compatibility would be cool, etc.
