I LOVE both the new Biotech buildable mechanoid system AND the Vanilla Factions Expanded - Mechanoids system. So I created this mod to find ways to mesh the two system together in a pleasing way.
For now, however, this mod simply adds the following recipes to allow for subcore <-> mechnoid component conversion:
- Convert Basic Subcore to Mechanoid Component
- Convert Standard Subcore to 2 Mechanoid Components
- Convert High Subcore to 5 Mechanoid Components
(and their reverse recipes...)
- Convert Mechanoid Component to Basic Subcore
- Convert 2 Mechanoid Components to Standard Subcore
- Convert 5 Mechanoid Components to High Subcore
the recipes have increasing Crafting and Intellectual requirements
Let me know in the comments if this balancing makes sense.
Also, let me know if you can think of other things to add to this mod to better MESH the two system together. I'd like to keep this mod lightweight, so it ideally nothing beyond simple patches.
I'm also considering adding the following (that is currently handled by other mods):
-- Make Mechanoid components craftable
-- Remove the production of wastepacks from Biotech mechs (so they are on par with VFE Mechs)
