[GTG]MultiRole Orbital Traders

Note: This mod was formerly known as GTG Orbital Traders

This is a simple mod that only adds 4 orbital traders and no new factions spawn, you can buy almost everything from it, including items from vanilla and other mods. Common items will be cheap, but some exotic items will be expensive.

2026.3.5 v4.0 update:

This update introduces a "self-healing" mechanism to GTG. By actively identifying and isolating faulty mod assets, GTG's generation stability now exceeds vanilla logic in complex mod lists, ensuring trader generation will not fail.

1. System Architecture Overhaul: Fully refactored the codebase to maximize structural stability and significantly reduce CPU overhead during trader generation, even in high-load mod environments.

2. Personnel Trade Adjustments: Added an "Alien Priority" mode. If no alien race mods are detected, the system defaults back to standard humanlike generation.

3. Premium Quality Standards: All inventory with quality attributes is now guaranteed to be at least "Excellent" or higher. Biological goods now feature species quantity limits and an automatic sex-pairing algorithm.

4. Fail-Safe Item Generation: Automatically detects and permanently lists broken Defs that cause generation errors. This list is saved locally, and safe fallback items are automatically generated in their place to prevent the trading process from breaking.

5. List Manager UI: Added a new management panel in the mod settings. Players can hover to view the details of listed assets and clear specific lists manually.

Important Note:

GTG traders offer a vast selection of items across your entire mod list. To ensure maximum stability, v4.0 includes a Fail-Safe Mechanism that automatically detects and isolates incompatible assets to prevent trader generation crashes.

Performance: If you experience lag, simply reduce the quantities of animals or personnels in the mod settings.

Maintenance: View or reset isolated assets via the List Manager panel in mod settings.

Bug Reports: If errors occur, please comment with the Trader Type and any Conflicting Mods to help refine the system.

Why was GTG Trader Core suddenly released, and why is it now a dependency for other trader-related mods?

As the number of trader mods I release grows and their features become more complex, maintaining each one independently has become increasingly difficult, and there is a lot of redundant code across these mods. Therefore, I have released this core framework to consolidate advanced technical features into a single, efficient module for easier maintenance and future updates.

Why do some mods still function without the core for now?

You might notice that some existing trader mods still function even if the framework is not enabled, despite warnings about missing dependencies in the mod list.

This is because GTG Trader Core is currently in a transitional deployment phase. Older versions of individual trader mods still contain their own localized legacy code, allowing them to run independently for the time being. However, all future mod releases will strictly require GTG Trader Core. Please note that while older mods will continue to function, you will not be able to benefit from the centralized performance optimizations and stability improvements in the future without this framework.

During future major version transitions (such as RimWorld updating to version 1.7), I will remove all independent code from sub-mods to eliminate redundancy. At that point, GTG Trader Core will become a mandatory requirement for all GTG orbital trader mods to function properly.
