My brother and I learned in one of our multiplayer saves that having a pawn that makes use of Alpha Gene's frog voice is like the funnest thing ever. I absolutely love minding my own business and then just hearing a froggie. I also wanted to take a break from the more intensive xeno I'm working on. I just want to get one out there, dangit. Thusly: Subbox

What's It Do?
Adds the Subbox Xenotype. That's it! There's no faction included. Instead, Subbox have a small chance to spawn as part of pirate, outlander, tribal, and beggar factions. Collect 'em if you can!

Lore
The Subbox are a short xenotype hailing from a planet that... has not done very well, truth be told. The air there is pure toxin to most, grubby with pollution and contaminants that would kill most brave or stupid enough to breathe it in raw. But nature finds a way. Subbox have a complex lung system well adapted to handling the airborne poison, allowing them to live normal lives there. Unfortunately, this doesn't make them the best contenders for survival on rimworlds. In order to simulate their native air, Subbox must inhale smokeleaf regularly, lest their bodies begin to slowly break down.
Subbox are partially amphibious, making them more sensitive to colder temperatures. On their home planet, they commonly live in deep, damp caves. This not only keeps them pleasantly moist, but also protects their eyes. Despite being nearly blind, Subbox are very sensitive to bright lights. Those who don't use darklights will grow to suffer painful migraines
Tiny, sleepy, and with little nubby teeth, Subbox are oft underestimated in combat, yet taking one on in hand-to-hand is not recommended. Beneath the skin, their forearms hide large blades that can be expelled from their hands. On top of that, they have specialized canine teeth possessing a microscopic hollow in which mechanites can be injected into the bloodstream. Once injected, the mechanites will drastically reduce their core temperature, inflicting painful freezing damage.
Still, Subbox much prefer nonviolence if it can be helped. They're very social beings that forge powerful bonds with those that they love. They enjoy living in groups and love to learn new things. They're very happy naturally and are prone to kindness. Commonly, if a Subbox couple lays an egg, the entire group will tend to and care for the nest. If left alone, they will happily leave alone. Unless you happen to be very interesting, that is. In that case, they make no promises!

Known Issues
Occurred when using a 200+ modlist, so unknown if this issue is caused in combination with something. Hatched Subbox children are labeled as Baseliners instead of Subbox. However, they still retain all their genes and appearance, so it's... fine?
