Welcome to Jimothy's Archite Genes!
This mod requires Jimothy's Genes, and adds archite extension of the following genes:
- Lifespan Genes
- Growth Point Genes
- Learning Rate Genes
Lifespan Genes
Doesn't affect aging, so you can have someone who's in their biological 360s or even over 400 with these. Has metabolism gain/cost.
These require Alite's Expanded Biotech Style Genes mod to be present, otherwise they won't appear in-game: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3020821838
Growth Point Genes
These increase the rate of growth point gain, not learning rate. 2 archite gain/cost per level, since based on testing this is... pretty powerful, to say the least.
These require the EBSG framework to be present, otherwise they won't appear in-game: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3112549163
Learning Rate Genes
This specifically affects childhood learning rate, the stat affecting growth points, NOT skill learning rate. 2 archite gain/cost per level.
Dodge and Hit Chance Genes
Does as says on the tin, but don't trust the numbers because Rimworld math is weird (post-processing curves, minimums etc), so even a character with 400% dodge chance, 400% hit chance and level 20 melee can still fail to dodge or land hits.
These require Alite's Expanded Biotech Style Genes mod to be present, otherwise they won't appear in-game: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3020821838
Archite Immunity Genes
Increase immunity gain speed, and can be used alongside regular immunity and perfect immunity genes.
Unaging Gene
Similar to the ageless gene, except aging is stopped even if the character is a child. They'll still age if you put them into growth vats.
Naturally Perfect Body Gene
Similar to the trait genes from Jimothy's Genes, except it adds multiple physical traits.
FAQ
CE Compatible?
First person to ask this in the comments gets death by bear pit (not tested but probably compatible).
I can't see the archite genes in Xenotype Creator!
Can you see the ageless and deathless genes? If not, you need to tick "Ignore restrictions" so that archite genes are visible.
If yes, then something strange is afoot, and make sure to provide me with an error log. Assuming you have each gene's requirements-to-load I'm not sure what would even cause that to happen, perhaps a modlist being so big that your computer can't load all the defs, or another mod turning them off.
Why is this separate from Jimothy's Genes
I considered integrating this into JG with genes requiring Alite's archite gene mod to, but I figured it being its own mod gives you more choice and control over your own game.
Requirements:
Gene mods always require Biotech!
Growth Point genes require EBSG framework, otherwise they won't appear: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3112549163
Lifespan genes require Alite's Expanded Biotech Style Genes, otherwise they won't appear: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3020821838
Compatibility
This is a simple xml mod, so should be compatible with literally everything.
That said, if you find an incompatibility, let me know!
Changes
Added immunity, unaging, hit / dodge chance, and perfect body genes.
Future Plans:
Archite versions of any suitable genes I make in Jimothy's Genes!
Anything you suggest, if said suggestions are ones I like and consider doable.
Remind y'all to check out Alite's gene mods, especially if you want archite genes for other stats.
Thankyou to:
Members of Rimworld discord's modding section, for explaining things to me.
Alite for making their gene mods.
Omelettes, for tasting nice.

Note that this channel is *NOT* Rimworld related. It's a worldbuilding channel. That said, you might notice some Rimworld-esque stuff in the worldbuilding, such as organ harvesting, war crimes, morbid hilarity and widespread cannibalism.
