RMS Queen Victoria

Build in 1924 the RMS Queen Victoria was the first of three new proposed sister ships that would operate on the transatlantic route. Build by Yarrow Shipbuilding Co the RMS Queen Victoria combined speed and comfort for well paying passengers. Traveling at 37 knots she crushed the daily speed record securing the Blue Riband in 1926. RMS Queen Victoria would later go on the complete 467 peace time voyages and would later be requisitioned the the admiralty to be transformed into a hospital ship in 1940. She survived the outbreak of the second would war and would later be sent to the breakers at Jarrow.
