Welcome to Zenliner Xenotype!
This adds two xenotypes, being endogene and xenogene versions of eachother respectively.
Their genes give them the following traits:
- Sanguine
- Iron-willed
- Ascetic
- Kind
- Psychically hyper-sensitive
All while not affecting their metabolism.
For this to be possible without archites, the genes have incredible complexity, making them rare, expensive, and require lots of processors to turn into xenogerms.
Essentially, they're very naturally enlightened baseliners.
Germline Zenliner
Zenliners are, functionally speaking, naturally very enlightened baseliners.
Germline zenliner populations are usually the products of natural selection or eugenics on worlds with very limited resources, where cooperation, minimalism and grit are necessary for survival. Psy-powers often prove essential for survival in these environments.
Xeno Zenliner
Zenliners are, functionally speaking, naturally very enlightened baseliners.
Making xeno zenliner xenogerms requires large, expensive, advanced genetics labs. Typically given to those soon to live in great discomfort, such as colonists on harsh worlds. Sometimes applied to spacer monks, enhancing their psychic potential.
FAQ
These guys are OP!
Yeah.
That said, these are basically enhanced baseliners. They're OPish but not crazy OP.
I'd say the best playthroughs to use these guys are those with harsh resource limitations, drawn out battles and general discomfort, where more normal pawns would just be having mental breaks all the time.
Additionally, they're rare as-is, and making labs powerful enough to make xenogerms for them is a huge pain.
Why psychically hyper-sensitive?
"The same genetically-formed neural pathways that make them good at taking pleasure in their inner worlds, and empathising with others, make them attuned to the wavelengths of archotech interference." or something, it just felt fitting.
Also provides them with a combat advantage, albeit a vague one that only applies if you use psycasting.
Isn't this functionally similar to your Mindliners mod?
Yeah. These guys and Highliners are a bit of a split of the Mindliner, with each taking the mindliner's 2 aspects and making them more extreme.

FrozenSnowFoxTweaks. Specifically, the tweak that lets you make the psychically sensitive traits improve meditation speed. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2893432492
Future Plans?
Making zenliners appear in factions. I think they'd do best in the gentle and nudist tribes, being farmers and humble yet mighty psycasters.
You can already do this yourself using Total Control, though.
Requirements:
Either Jimothy's Genes or Jimothy's Complexity Trait Genes is needed for genes to appear. Otherwise these are just baseliners with a layer of "trust me bro they're so zen."
Compatibility
This is a simple xml mod, should be compatible with everything.
Thankyou to:
Members of Rimworld discord's modding section, for explaining things to me.
Alite for making their gene mods.
Conquest, for Conquesting it.

Note that this channel is *NOT* Rimworld related. It's a worldbuilding channel. That said, you might notice some Rimworld-esque stuff in the worldbuilding, such as organ harvesting, war crimes, morbid hilarity and widespread cannibalism.
