SKS — The Survivor’s Rifle Reborn
Recovered from the fragmented data archives of a ruined lunar relay station, the **SKS** is a semi-automatic carbine born at the end of Old Earth’s great wars — a weapon forged in transition, not desperation.
First developed by Soviet engineer Sergei Simonov in the closing days of World War II, the SKS was one of humanity’s earliest steps into the era of intermediate cartridges and semi-automatic fire. Though quickly overshadowed by the AK, it served with stubborn reliability for decades — rugged, modest, and impossible to kill.
Now, long after Earth’s fall, settlers on the Rim have rebuilt the SKS from salvaged schematics and scrap. Not flashy. Not rare. Just real — and ready.
