Career Starter Automated Lobster Moneymaker

*** Note!! Due to game update as of November 2025 the profit rate has been reduced. A quick test it seems like a 40 times reduction, so only 25k per hour now. *** You always wanted to earn your way to that shiny capital ship in career mode, but it was just too damn expensive. Let automation give you a hand! Simply press a button, and let this vehicle make money for you! It can be spawned as the first vehicle at the Starter Island thanks to its low cost and small footprint. A tiny helicopter also is included so you can do some exploration while automation does its thing. [1] Spawn at the Starter Island Dock [2] Find the Autofishing safety key to the left of the wheelhouse hatch [3] Turn the key and press the covered button to confirm Autofishing [4] Wait for it to travel to North Harbor, or take the helicopter for some exploring *Takes about 7 minutes for it to travel and setup at North Harbor **Check the wind map to make sure conditions are not orange or red. High waves can prevent it from docking with the seafood seller. After docking the first time, it would clamp onto the dock, so tsunami and high waves would not longer be an issue afterwards. ***Disable Autofishing Mode to retract the docking clamp Using the Helicopter: [1] When launching from the boat, press "Hotkey 3" to activate the engine [2] Then tap "Space Bar" to request the crane and lobster booms be moved out of the way *Check the wind map to make sure it's not yellow or red as high waves can throw the helicopter from the deck **If you are new to helicopters in Stormworks, they have a longer braking distance than first appear, start slowing down at least 500m from your landing spot, and never fly directly toward an obstacle ***Always turn off the engine first then wait 1 second for blades to brake before getting off Manual Control Mode: If manual operations are desired, jump in the control cabin and take the helm [1] Engine starts automatically when you give it control input [2] Hold "Forward" for 5 seconds to switch to high speed mode [3] Recommend keeping the pot booms extended with "Hotkey 4" to lower the center of mass and improve stability [4] Stop the boat at a spot where sea floor is less than 40m deep and press "Hotkey 6" to fish for crabs and lobsters [5] The keypad to the left of the helm station can be used to set autopilot waypoint *It is optimized to dock at North Harbor, and has a docking crane that prevents it from getting washed away by tsunami every half hour. You may have to remove the crane to trade at certain other seafood sellers.
