Orbital Ion Cannon — Space Exploration Edition
Call down the thunder on those pesky biters from orbit. This is a fork of Kux-OrbitalIonCannon with full Space Exploration 0.7 support.
What's different from Kux-OrbitalIonCannon?
- SE cargo rocket support — launch ion cannons via SE launch pads, not just vanilla rocket silos
- Zone-aware targeting — cannons are assigned to the destination planet/moon, firing from orbit works correctly regardless of whether you're on the surface or in orbit
- Per-surface GUI — the cannon count and cooldown display shows only cannons orbiting your current planet, not all cannons across all surfaces
- Surface name migration — existing saves with cannons will automatically resolve surface names when SE is active
How to use
- Research Orbital Ion Cannon technology
- Build an ion cannon item
- Launch it in a rocket silo or SE cargo rocket to a planet
- Use the ion cannon targeter to rain fire from above
Works with and without Space Exploration — if SE is not installed, it behaves like the original mod.
