The cryogenic plant is unlocked after space science and is a upgrade to the chemical plant. It has crafting speed of 2 and 6 module slots and is required to process cryonite on land. (can still use biochemical facility in space)

When using Krastorio2 it replaces the chemical plant as requirement and ingredient for advanced chemical plant and only has 3 module slots.
