Original mod notes (1.4):
Hostile environments that make regular swamps look like a sweet home. Embrace water and disease, embrace the Greater Swamps.
This mod adds a new class of biomes that may appear in existing vanilla swamps: greater cold bogs and greater temperate and tropical swamps. These new biomes are extremely harder than vanilla variants.
Changes compared to vanilla biomes:
Marshes. Vast, all-consuming water surfaces with narrow trails of more elevated soil. The swamp leaves just a tiny bit of steady soil to cultivate and to build upon.
Rains. They will accompany almost your every day, and when it's not raining, the land will be covered in fog.
Diseases. Rats love this place, and humidity is high. Your colonists will get illnesses considerably more often.
No hills. There are little mineable resources; your only excess resource is wood. [There are still a few hills; looking into it)
Fewer large prey. Heavy animals avoid these bogs, and if they do wander in these swamps, they are probably just terribly lost.
Even harder to pass. Obviously, these swamps don't like caravans.
