LancerM Mk1 Launcher

LancerM Mk1 Launcher Early-generation ground-based missile launcher THIS IS AN ATGM
DESCRIPTION The LancerM Mk1 is a first-generation ground-based missile launcher introduced in July 1978. Designed with late–Cold War engineering philosophy, the Mk1 emphasizes mechanical reliability, predictable behavior, and robust terrain-handling capability. The missile paired with the Mk1 is an early sea-skimming design with proven performance over long distances and complex terrain. Despite its age, the system remains highly effective when deployed correctly.
GUIDANCE TYPES & DESCRIPTIONS GNSS Uses satellite navigation to guide the missile to precise coordinates on the ground. Provides long-range accuracy by continuously calculating the missile's position in flight. IOG Guides the missile toward the target's last known location. Useful when active tracking is lost, ensuring the missile continues toward the predicted position of the target. RLOS Radar Line-of-Sight guidance. The missile uses an onboard radar to detect and lock onto the target once it comes within range, allowing precise terminal homing. RCCM Radar Counter-Countermeasures. Enables the missile to ignore basic electronic defenses like chaff or angle-based countermeasures, maintaining target lock. TAD (Top-Attack-Delivery) The missile approaches from above to strike the target's top, often exploiting weaker armor or defenses. Can arc over obstacles or terrain to hit from above. TERCOM Terrain Contour Matching. The missile uses **LiDAR sensors** to scan the terrain below and compare it with stored terrain maps, allowing accurate low-altitude flight over complex terrain.
