Start Sequence
1. Unlock Rotor Brake
2. Disable Rotor Brake
3. Turn On Beacon/Strobe/Nav Lights
4. Turn On Avionics
5. Enable Fuel (eng. 1 and 2)
6. Start eng 1 and 2
7. Enable gen 1 and 2
8. For ground idle ops, keep both eng clutches disengaged
- Ground idle is necessary to keep main battery charged
9. Engage eng 1 and 2 clutches
10. Takeoff only when rotor RPM has stabilized
FOR HOVER OPERATIONS
- Avoid enabling auto hover at forward speeds above 40 kts
- engage auto hover with space key
- input desired MSL hover altitude to the keypad
- press the Alt-Hold button
- yaw trim may be needed to maintain heading (hold alt and right arrow key)
