The D218M Black Cat is a low-cost ($36k) diesel-mechanical locomotive intended for career use. It uses a five-speed mechanical transmission. The locomotive includes front and rear cameras, an automatic cooling system, and an automatic generator. A backup solar cell supplies auxiliary power when the engine is off.
Operation:
Increase throttle to approximately 0.5 to start moving, then reduce to around 0.15 once in motion. Throttle setting depends on load weight.
The emergency brake (Space Bar) reduces throttle while applying braking force.
Radio switching operates at a 100 m range.
