Adaptive Threats is the 1.1+ version of Adaptive Cassie Storyteller. It applies on top of the storyteller.
Adaptive Threats changes the curve of the threat scale which is a static parameter. It will be more progressive at start, but uncapped in the end-game.
Here is an example of a 1.3 playthrough with this storyteller, see debug graph, last slide.
It is based on the story relevance of your colonists (a hidden game stat), much less on wealth. For the 1.3 version, since the story relevance is no longer a thing, a proxy has been used.
There are three difficulty levels, Default (recommended), Chill and Hardcore.

1.2 update: bodysize is factored in the formula, meaning babies and children are considered a lesser threat for the storyteller.
1.3 update: proxy for story relevance
Note that whereas threats at home may feel easier early-mid game (they should not require a killbox, that's the point), ambushes are no jokes any longer.
1.4 update: default difficulty only (i e. no option)
