Overview

Finally a fast and capable offshore asset to cover almost all niches.

The PEGASUS - inspired by the PHM-1 class of ships - is a versatile, fast patrol and intercept ship. It features the best yet situational awareness with its sensor and control suite. A main gun and a machine gun turret enables it to engage most treats on the land, sea and the air.

With its facilities four wounded, additional crew, weapon, fuel and container storage and a helipad on the stern, it can also operate as a rescue and support asset.

Features

The pilot on the bridge has control over the triple bypass five staged turbine jet engine, as it is also used on the Dragons, a capable sensor suite including map, radar, passive and active sonar, radar warner, countermeasures, autopilot, foil controls and an weather logger for maximized situational awareness.

It armamend consists of a heavy autocannon main gun and a light autocannon machine gun turret, controlled by a central operater in the C.I.C. It's state of the art ballistic calculater allows it to engage even moving targets at the edge of it's sensor range.

And additional NFT operator can control NFT assets in the area.

It features a helipad/container deck with refueling capabilities not only for the ships internal tanks, but also assets on the deck, making it quite flexible as a modular asset.

NOTE
Due to the PEGASUS beeing light enough for the foils to lift it out of the water, its armor is only at a minimum. Try to avoid direct hits and make use of its speed.

Operation

Pilot

Just turn the key for the engine ingition. Normal cruise can be accomplished with 5 RPS, but ~7 RPS are needed for hydrofoil mode. Once on the foils, RPS can be reduced even. Most efficient way of travels is with 10 RPS.

CAUTION
Be advised, that hydroifoil operation is only permitted in calm wind conditions. Under medium to heavy wind, there is an immediate danger of the ship getting out of control and flipping!
When cruising convetional, reduce clutch to achive higher engine RPS, and therefore higher speeds.

Commander

The Commander can control a targeting pod to designate targets for the main gun and the MG turret. The targeting pod even features radar lock, which is useful when engaging on moving targets, or in harsh weather.

Additionally, the commander has also access to a map/radar/sonar screen, can deploy chaff (when armed) and can override the rudder controls, in case the pilot is incapable or in one man operation.

Operator

The Operator can control any NFT asset in range with known frequency. Check asset operation for more details on controls.
