The four of you flee your homeworld after being condemned to death by the unjust Outerworld Order, they claim you were running an underground transhumanist terror cell planning to unleash PWMD's (psychic weapons of mass destruction), they send you through a one sided trial with no chance to defend yourselves. The night before the excution a smuggler offers to send you off world if you agree to pay your debts to him in a labor colony. As you begin to leave alarms start to go off and the Outerworld Order gives chase deep into space, your ship is critically damaged and the four of you make it to the undamaged drop pods. You land on an unfamiliar Rimworld that is ruled by Kings and Queens, an ancient form of rule and you must gain favor with these royals to leave this world and flee from the Outerworld Order.
