BACKGROUND
Built by Dougcraft Avionics since 1968, the P15B is a rugged bush plane designed for operations in remote and challenging environments. Engineered with reinforced suspension and large wheels, it is fully capable of rough and unprepared landings. The aircraft is powered by a single nose-mounted propeller driven by a supercharged 10-cylinder diesel engine, delivering dependable performance. An advanced cockpit equipped with autopilot, flight stability systems, radio, and radar supports safe and efficient flight operations. With airspeeds exceeding 120 knots and a compact overall length of 10 meters, the P15B is a reliable workhorse for bush flying and utility missions.
This particular unit is owned and operated by OMUA (Oceanic Marine Underwater Agency), a (fictional) multinational marine and research agency. It features equipment for arctic exploration, an animal kennel and is configured for passengers and small cargo.
