43 Center Console

43' Quad Powered Center Console Based very loosely on the Midnight Express 43 Solstice. She is great for exploring, picking up crates, or just tooling around.
Specs: LOA: 14.75m Beam: 3.75m Draft: 1.0m Displacement: 3071 Cost: 40967 Power: Four 6-cylinder modular outboards Cruising speed: 70 MPH (80% throttle) Max speed: 90+ MPH Range: 60+km (cruise)
Operational Notes:

She will cruise just fine at 80% throttle at about 70 MPH. Above that she will eventually overheat, but it does take a while.
She likes two clicks of bow up trim.
Throttle can be controlled with W/S or directly on the throttle.
The left display features heading, speed, four tachometers, four temperature gauges, trim indicator, and volt meter. The center of the tachs displays gear status (F/N/R) based on throttle setting.
The right display can be changed via the menu on the right hand side

The map allows up to eight waypoints to be entered. Zoom is controlled by +/- in the top left, the "c" button brings up a menu that allows you to clear all waypoints, or just the last one entered. Map scale is displayed on the top right. the "AP" button on the bottom left enables the autopilot. Once waypoints are entered, distance and ETA will be displayed on the bottom. Use the keyboard to enter waypoints.
The radar can be turned on via the button on the top right. Range can be adjusted via the +/- buttons, the current range is displayed bottom left.
The FLIR page allows switching to TV mode via the button on the top right. The +/- buttons change camera zoom, and the arrow buttons at the bottom center pan the camera. The square button in the center of the arrows recenters the view.
The depth sounder has no controls, but does auto zoom as depth changes. Fish are displayed as arcs, but due to the way SW fish finder works are not very accurate (it reports a random fish within 100m), but it does give you and idea of how deep they are.
The fuel page provides a graph showing the status of each fuel tank, current fuel consumption rate, and estimated distance to empty.

The instruments between the displays controls display power, trim, engines (they start one at a time when he button is toggled), running lights, and deck/underwater lights. The final button cycles the deck lights between colors one, two, and three, and a strobe effect between color three and four. Colors and cycle time can be changed via the MC.
There is diving equipment, ropes, and emergency equipment on the back of the console.
The battery will die over time. I was unable to get a charging solution that both worked and didn't steal too much power from motors. One of the downsides of actual outboard motors.
Be careful with turns at high speed with the autopilot.
