Foxes Aren't Suicidal(continued)

Original Author:

Thundercraft

Original Description:

This uses an xpath patch to reduce the {maxPreyBodySize} of foxes, preventing them from preying on humans (such as your colonists) or large animals. For the sake of realism, it also changes the {foodType} to make them omnivores and opportunistic egg-eaters instead of strict carnivores.

It breaks my suspension of disbelief that the foxes in RimWorld will prey on humans. In real life, their diet consists primarily of small creatures like insects, rodents, birds and, when available, eggs. We never hear of man-eating foxes because there aren't any. Foxes would not survive as a species if they readily attacked humans or animals bigger than themselves.

Notes:

Lynx are now less suicidal as well.
