Quick Notes


• Credits :

Built using my favorite features from various Steam Workshop subs. You’ll definitely see some familiar tech!
• The Origin :

This is a heavy Rework/Remaster of Sharknado MK1 by my friend Tezz.
• The Goal :

i made sure to give each role/job the fun and space it deserves.

From Tier 3 to Tier 1 (The "Zero to Hero" Change)


Originally, this was going to be a 30,000 mk Tier 3 sub. However, for a true "Zero to Hero" feeling, I decided to tone it down to a Tier 1 sub. This way, you can pick it up right at the start of your campaign and actually feel the progression as you upgrade and fill it with gear.

6 total turret slots, 4 Small and 2 large, starts with 4 coilguns and 2 empty large slots.

Balance


• Piloting :

The sub’s engine is a power hog, piloting is no longer a simple matter of dragging a cursor, if you aren't careful with your piloting, you’ll fry the junction boxes and leave the whole crew in the dark.
• Firepower :

It has 6 turret slots to cover the big hull, but the firerate is slightly reduced and there are still 2 major blind spots.
• Gunnery :

The gunnery room is intentionally in a vulnerable spot. During peak combat moments (especially against large creatures), gunners are likely to sustain injuries. You're going to need an active Medic to make sure they stay alive and firing.
• Hard Start :

Starting items are very limited. You’re meant to scavenge and buy what you need as you go.
• Batteries :

Low capacity and slow recharge rate. Use them for emergencies or strategic situations only.

Fun


• Functional Bar :

featuring a jukebox and a dice game. Relax in one of the three lounge chairs to "order" (spawn) a drink.
• The Brig :

Includes a remote "Zap" feature to maintain order among the crew, good for roleplay purposes or to punish griefers.
• Armory :

Very secure, has a surveillance monitor to check key rooms and a reinforced door for storage.
• Broken Depth charge system :

Semi-built depth charge system, the only way to get it working again is for a good Engineer to manually do the wiring and set it active (manual building).
• Weakpoints/Valves :

Testing out the new valve/leak system in one of the ballasts. Let me know what you think of it (may add 1 or 2 more in the future).

Other Features


• Personal Safes: Each role has a secure locker only they (and the Captain) can open.
• Condition Screens: Jukeboxes and Supercapacitors have condition screens so you can see if they’re breaking without opening the UI.
• Locked Wiring: Most of the sub is "tamper-proof”, but I left one junction box completely unlocked so you can add your own custom electrical systems.
• Diving Suits: Suit lockers aren't linked to Oxygen generator intentionally. If you want that luxury, you’ll have to wire it yourself!

Secrets & Lore


• Hidden Stash :

There are few secret vents and cabinets in the sub, some of them contain loot.
• The Entity/Lore :

a dark, creepypasta-themed lore waiting to be discovered. Solve 3 riddles hidden across the ship to find a secret statue and learn the truth behind the sub. The riddles explain the entity's twisted logic and how it works, those who pray (stand near) to the statue will be judged based on their behavior. It may grant you gifts (items), or it may deliver a cruel punishment (???), be careful what you wish for.

-Riddle 1 : This is your first hint that something else is on board, it explains the "rules" of the entity: it grants rewards to those who pray (stand near it) and punish those who get too close. press the button above it to "Awaken" the statue (activate it).

-Riddle 2 : hints the location of the statue (ballast B) where an indestructible "Eternal Door" blocks the path (that's the actual name of the door if you hover over it), press the button near it to Open that door.

-Riddle 3 : Found exactly where the statue hides. It describes the final ritual: stand still and pray for a few moments to receive your reward.

Lore-wise, these texts are made by the entity itself, that it invites you to pray to it just to decieve you, and doesn’t talk about the “bad stuff”, however upon finding the entity you’ll find a duffel bag with a logbook, which reveals the true horrifying history of the sub and what the statue actually is.

• Locking the wiring for the lights, & more switches.
• Adding "Hungry Europans" compatibility.
• Taking away the Captain's access to personal safes.
• Restricting the fabricator cabinet to Mechanics only.
• Dropping down to 4 turret slots or even 3 (while adding a discharge coil).
• Reducing default hull strenght from 200 to 150
