Introduction
The City of Volendam is a 65 foot un-powered Dutch sailing vessel with 2 masts and a top speed of 21 Knots. Its lack of an Auxiliary engine saves weight while leaving the ship to be reliant on wind alone.
Operations
- To stow the Jib sails, Pull the front two winches in and let the back 2 winches out until they are thin.
- Unfurl each sail and let the sails out until the tracks sit flush again.
- To operate the booms use the cranks located on the decks.
- Use the forward winches to adjust the Jib sails.
