The Penguin is a Tier 2 Attack submarine intended for small crews. The Gateway 1 is approximately 1.2x larger (in terms of internal space) compared to the Barsuk. It is a very small and cheap submarine, costing 7,025 marks.

Features
- Unlike many other submarines in its price range, it sports a Fabricator and Deconstructor.
- There is little in the way of space for expansion, lacking room for placeables.
- When the engines are at max thrust, they draw more power than the submarine's weak reactor can supply, so the captain and crew must be careful to avoid drawing too much power.
- Due to the Penguin's price point of 7025 marks, it fits into the campaign starting budget of 9000 marks.
- An EDC on the nose of the ship, which can be activated from the navigation terminal.
Flavor Description
The Penguin is a low-cost submarine primarily designed for small research or scouting crews. This price point is made possible by using previous generation parts, but leaves the Penguin with inadequate propulsion, pump, and power systems, along with the lack of a backup battery bank.
