Neurotrauma V1.8.7
Requirements
Lua For Barotrauma (preferably using the new installation method, not the old one) is required for this mod to function correctly.
If you are playing in single-player (or the submarine editor), Lua must be installed on the client side. A setup guide can be found on the Lua for Barotrauma Workshop page.
A comprehensive community guide can be found here[trello.com].
There is an (official fork) training map available to practice and experiment.
To configure the mod:
Select the “Neurotrauma” option in the game’s ESC menu.
Neurotrauma completely overhauls human health.
This mod adds significant depth to the medical system. Main causes must be diagnosed based on symptoms (or with a health scanner), and medication should not be overused, as you might end up causing more harm than good.
The mod adds the following:
- A large amount of medical equipment
- Combustion
- Tons of symptoms
- Damage and failure of individual organs
- Surgeries, including amputation and organ transplants
- Infection
Compatibility:
Any Neurotrauma patch or extension.
Incompatibility:
Any mod (that is not a patch) which overwrites `Human.xml` and vanilla medicine, as well as heavily outdated creations for Neurotrauma.
Bots will not attempt to treat anything with this mod.
This mod would not have been possible without the following:
- Advanced Medicine — the original medical overhaul mod.
- The kind souls on the BaroTraumatic Discord server.
- Wikipedia.
