A rocket powered glider, balanced on a pin. It'll get you ~10km quickly and safely, since as long as you keep the nose relatively close to the horizon, it cant crash for some reason. I'd recommend against adding any weapons (or additional boosters, for that matter) since the takeoff weight is so explicitly balanced.
Just land as close as you can to a workshop and its light enough to push into it. This method let me bunny hop across any of the islands, but be careful trying to go from Sawyers to the desert since if there isnt an island with a workshop somewhere in the middle depending on your seed, it may not have the range to make it
