Synth Species

Adds a playable robotic species of Synths. In the lite version, the stats of synths are only minorly adjusted from those of Humans. Their tail adds a large hitbox, so they are slightly more resistant to damage than humans. Other than that, they behave like normal organic creatures.

If you want larger changes, I plan to release a version of the synth with much higher gameplay impact in the near future.

KNOWN ISSUES:
The AI cannot control these characters. Something about the way custom joints work breaks the pathfinding, and leads to the AI getting stuck in one room. I have no clue how to fix it, but custom species like this don't spawn naturally, so I think it'll be fine. Just don't try to make your own NPCs and expect them to be functional members of the crew.

LORE:
In a second effort to improve the morale of Europan settlers (because the clowns went so well), Earth's best and brightest sent over a series of vibrantly-colored assistant-bots called synths, hoping to give crew a break from the drab and dismal conditions in the bowels of europa.

While these synths succeeded in improving morale to some degree, nothing the synths could offer would distract from the hellish conditions that crews faced daily.

Once Earth went silent, the Synths went from a replacable commodity to a valuable member of the crew. Where available, Synths took whatever roles happened to open up, and eventually became recognized as an independent and sentient species.

Today, synths occupy positions among respected crews across Europa. Some have even led their own crews, pushing on towards the great unknown in the eye of Europa.
