This microcontroller has a very simple shifting mechanism that is directly based on your speed (in km/h) which can also detect stalling (aka engine revs are under 1000 rpm). Everything is labelled and should be pretty straightforward.
There is no "Gear 1" because this is based on the idea of engaging the gearboxes to switch from reduction to 1:1 ratios.
