The Insect-class were a line of gunboats commissioned to be cheap, but with enough firepower to patrol the shallower caverns of Europa and deal with the most common threats. To achieve this, it features two topside coilguns with shared coverage and a smooth roof to eliminate topside blindspots. It also has a pulse laser to deal with threats from the front. However, it is compact, a little ugly, rather barebones, and not designed to be operated for more than a day at a time. Its exposed top hatches are also weakpoints, so mechanics should be ready to fix them ASAP in battles against large fauna.
