GM Menu

GM Menu is a next-generation custom multifunctional menu made for people who are not satisfied with vanilla limitations and want an actually useful GM tool.

It`s designed as a complete system with a proper interface, convenient navigation, and a focus on being something you can actually use.

What the menu includes

  • Custom GUI
  • RMB Menu - the keybind can be configured in the ESC menu, under the GM Menu tab.
    The RMB menu is a context window that lets you edit map objects in real time - players, electronics, the environment, the submarine, and more - through a right-click context menu, similar to right-clicking a file in Windows.
  • Reports, moderation, and server control (the report system is still in development and will be added later)
  • A foundation for creating scenarios - Trigger Node and Marker Node.
    Trigger Node is a fully functional tool for scenario creation: when someone enters its radius, it performs the actions configured in its menu, including triggering other nodes.
    Marker Node, in turn, makes specific NPCs within a certain radius move toward its position.
  • A proper and convenient interface instead of console and chat commands
  • The first real-time SpawnSub system of its kind, naturally with its own limitations (players who join the server after a submarine has been spawned may crash until that submarine is removed from the round or the round ends)

Why it exists

GM Menu is made for servers where high-level GM control and system versatility matter - running events, monitoring players, creating mechanics directly in-game, and avoiding the need to dig through the console or deal with broken half-dead menus every time.

Development status

The mod is actively evolving and gradually gaining new systems. The focus is not on adding features just for the sake of numbers, but on making every tab and every function feel like a finished tool rather than a half-baked leftover.

The goal is to make GM Menu feel not like another raw "admin helper", but like a genuinely powerful and convenient module for Barotrauma that you can open and immediately use for actual work, capable of replacing most third-party GM tools.

GM Menu is serverside, remove any other sandbox menus before using, access only obtained via being host or having console commands permission on server.
