Infantry Tank – Machine Gun Variant
Nation: Empire of Cetus
Year Introduced: 1911
Role: Infantry Suppression and Trench Clearing
Nickname(s): “Iron Beetle,” “Rattleback,” “Crowkiller”
Overview:
The Mark IC "Iron Beetle-F" was Cetus' first operational armoured fighting vehicle and one of the earliest tanks ever fielded during the Great Centauran War. Designed to lead infantry across hostile trench networks, the “Iron Beetle” earned its name from its low, beetle-like silhouette and loud, metallic rattle.
Armed with three fixed-position machine guns, it was devastating in close support roles. While vulnerable to artillery and prone to mechanical breakdowns, its psychological impact on the battlefield—especially during the Battle of Mons Planus—was profound.
The “C” designation stands for Cestus configuration, referring to its focus on suppression over breakthrough.
