Early Development Build of the VTOL Model 5 Phantom
Thank you for your interest in this prototype. By subscribing, you'll receive updates as the design evolves.
Key specifications (approximate values):
- Flight time: You can fly for the rest of your life.
- Power output: ~65,000 horsepower under load; generates over 270 kW (270,000 W)
- Weight: ~208 metric tons
- RPM and torque: 1,611.9 RPS or 96,714 RPM with torque around 1,202 Nm (Something is wrong if values drop below or go above these)
- Top speed: exceeds 1,350 km/h
- Service ceiling: approximately 15,500 meters
Performance and hardware requirements will improve as the build is optimized.
Feature WIP List:
Main Data Screen
3-Axis LIDAR avoidance system
POSSIBLY, adding a targeting camera that can spot and lock onto targets, determine their x, y, and z position, speed, etc., and send GPS coordinates to the data screen where it can say an autopilot target to it.
Harness Carriages (with better technology n stuff, flying?)
Emergency Escape System (possibly A either emergency exits or a "tunnel" like the vm4, or escape pods like the vm3)
Flight system n stuff (trying to get mach 1.5 stable)
Nuclear Reactor Tweaks
Docking System (you can dock to other vm5's share passengers or transfer fluids, POSSIBLY, might not do it if its too hard but fly together as one ship)
Better microcontrollers like the 3 in 1 thermostat, map, and light controller one is a lot better now.
Sprinkler System or Fire Suppression System? (im not sure if I will be able to make it work like the vm4 especially since the vm4 didnt have drainage)
Broadcast System (like every vm has one)
Cargo Bay (cargo bay "beds" for car transporatation or other small packages exclusiveley)
I would say runways (but tbh who the hell actually once used the runways on the vm's? like they are small, impossible to land on, and the only feasible use is like helicopters but atp if you can get two vehicles on stormworks with more than 3 fps then good luck.)
Maybe a water refilling system like the vm4? idk the vm4 was a little buggy to implement but I liked it and had fun with it, but the water tank lasted 20 minutes and tbh if you run out of water on the vm5, holy hell how didnt your game crash first of all and second of all, you've played way too long.
if i have more in the future ill let you know or if the features were too hard ill just say i removed them
it was a 1 year and 10 month wait from the official release of the vm4 from the vm3 revamps or from the original vm3 to vm4 is a nearly 3 years (2 years and 7 months) I fear the from the release of the vm4 to the official release of the vm5 is at least like 1-3 years no exaggerating
IF ANYONE WANTS TO SUGGEST FEATURES, PLEASE DO I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FEEDBACK.
