Sapiently's Monolithic Monsters
BETA! I'm not happy with the design of the mod, I'll be revising the art and tweaking the growth rate/density of the monsters. If you spot any bugs or have a suggestion please let me know. There shouldn't be any bugs...
Sapiently's Atomic Monster Series Presents: Monolithic Monsters
"In every moment of every day they come from planets belonging to stars whose dying light is too far away to be seen. From infinity they come. Meteors!"

The Monolith Monsters
This mod is based on the classic 1957 sci-fi film. Strange black meteorites have struck the colony. They are not rock... they are alive.
Features

Dynamic Growth: Monolithic Monsters grow from sprouts to massive towers, absorbing minerals from the soil.

Weather Reactive: Rain and Snow accelerate their growth significantly.

Propagation: Giant Monolithic Monsters shatter and fall, spreading new crystals in lines across your map.

Ceiling Collapse: If allowed to grow inside, they will crash through the roof.

New Hazard: Parasitic Silicosis. Direct contact with shards or inhalation of dust will turn your colonists to stone.

New Tech: Research Monolith Grenades to shatter the crystals and reclaim your land.

Countermeasures

Salt Grenades: The only known way to safely destroy the structures. Requires the "Monolithic Countermeasures" research project (hidden until you encounter a Monolith).
