The system used by my fully functional vehicles to connect and control trailers via a radio transmitter set-up, such is this example. This is a demo that allows for two things:
1. Simplifying the set up process for your own trailer/vehicle combinations using this system
2. Easily edit the types and/or number of input/outputs the controller has, before putting it in a creation
There is also an example of how I set up the hitches between vehicle and trailer.
You are free to use this and edit it to suit your needs in your own creations, no credit needed. Just open the microcontrollers in the editor through the properties menu and save it locally. They have proper names and a design that helps tell them apart in the build/inventory menu.
