VEHICLE WON'T GO INTO GEAR UNLESS YOU USE THE CLUTCH [3]
The Cirillo & Sons T-63 "Astronoma" represented the first steps in Segier's national logistics becoming more and more truck based.
For reasons unknown to even them, Segier never invested very heavily into rail for logistical transport. Historically, most of their shipping was done via the circulatory system of large rivers that ran along the interior of Segier. As society began to industrialize, and civilization began to spread into the land not directly accessable by river travel, the need for larger and larger trucks to move supplies inland only grew larger.
The T-63 "Astronoma" was Cirillo & Sons' first attempt at a truck designed to be better suited to the spreading net of highways, moving away from the clunkier all-terrain trucks that had previously dominated the industry. Unlearning lessons from the Euranian War would prove to be difficult, as many engineers who had been so used to making bare-bones yet brutishly strong army trucks were now being tasked to make a truck designed for comfort and long-haul efficiency. Their perseverance would lead to the creation of the T-63, which would prove to be quite popular among the growing amount of shipping companies as Segier's economy began to exponentially ramp back up after the war.
The T-63 had much greater weight and towing capacity over earlier Cirillo & Sons designs, allowing it to take larger trailers to allow shipping companies to move more bulk goods for less effort. In modern retrospect the abilities of the T-63 are quite modest, when you compare it to trucks of the time, there was little contest when it came to who provided the best long-haul abilities. The biggest issue with the Astronoma was its lack of power with the supercharged 6.3L V8 gasoline engine that it shipped with, though later models, and indeed many operators, would replace this engine with more conventional inline diesel engines.
Rides like a car, hauls like a train! Shipping you and all you need across the country with never-seen efficiency! -Quote from a Cirillo & Sons sales brochure from 1963.
Features:
- 5 Speed manual gearbox
- Top speed of 110Km/h
- Instant reset A/D steering. Takes some time to get used to, but helps to alleviate overshooting your turn due to janky stormworks driving. This operates similarily to Warthunder wheeled vehicle steering.
- View steering, for smoother high speed steering
- Unfortunately no wiper-blades this time, but it does have a funny flap cap exhaust!
- Probably has an overheating issue. I completely don't care to fix it
- Cirillo & Sons' "Some questions asked" warranty!
Operation Instructions & Pointers:
- With the transmission in neutral, turn the key to the left of the steering column
- Use the clutch [3 BUTTON] to change gears, ensuring that you give some throttle to prevent stalling
