Thats just a small showcase on how GEARBOXES work in Stormworks and is mostly just in the Workshop cause i may need it again earlier or later and not want it to get lost and i hope it might also help you!

Gearbox sizes don't seem to matter, but the arrow direction does!
When it comes to the DRIVETRAIN, it should go: ENGINE to GEAR to CLUTCH to WHEELS or PROPS, you can put a ELECTRIC ENGINE and a GENERATOR just behind the ENGINE on a cross Pipe for charging the BATTERY when not driving and to jumpstart it with the ELECTRIC ENGINE.
In case youre in a survival game and want to see how it works:
It has a cable Anchor and 2 cables which allows you to hook it into your base's (Hangar or Harbour) electrical power and costs $ 13.973,-
Note: The gear ratio not only changes the output that arrives on wheels or props but also changes the RPS of the source (engine)
Remember to connect the gearboxes with electric power and to check the ratios!

PS: I used e-motors cause theyre taking less space and are cheaper then putting one diesel or jet Engine per example.
