This is an English patch for the mod [1.3]Xenoorca Race by steam user Ayameduki. Updates are not guaranteed, use it while it works.
I mostly made this for myself. Having one mod out of a hundred in Japanese when everything else is in English really ticks me off. But I figured I'd upload it for general public to use too.
Obviously, this patch requires the Xenoorca Race mod to function. And whatever else it requires too. Put the mod below Xenoorca Race in the load order. Or put it above it; I'm not your mom. But I tested the patch loaded below the original mod and that's how it runs for me.
Translation info
- It's not hot stuff because I whipped it up in an evening. I got other things to work on.
- I took basic effort to avoid things such as term collisions (eg. added backgrounds don't have the same names as some vanilla backgrounds).
- May or may not conflict with Nif & Belvaleth's Nearmare translation: I'm not currently using the Nearmare mod so term control is too much to ask for a day's project.
- Yes, the Xenoorca start refers to three colonists (it uses the default starting message). No, I don't know how to change it.
- Yes, the background "Merchant of Nightmares" is much more powerful than anything else. Yes, it had no description.
- Support for older versions isn't listed and wasn't attempted because I don't play on them, so I don't care. May or may not work for 1.1.

[1.2]Xenoorca Race adds a new pawn type: Xenoorca.
- The Xenoorca have a lifespan twice that of humans
- Their combat strength is naturally high and it's further increased by their specialized weaponry
- Their weakness is heat attacks and they are fragile against illness and poisons, slow to immunize and prone to hunger.
- Because of the structure of Xenoorcan bodies, they are unable to equip most human equipment.
- The world's Xenoorca faction (Orcinus Brigade) is permanently hostile and some of them use unique weaponry. They won't raid until approximately 5 years into the game (can depend on difficulty)
