You began as a lowly street child begging for scraps and rose to become a prodigy among tech lord candidates, a naturally gifted upstart. Everything seemed to be within your reach, fame, wealth, and influence. You were allowed to begin some of the sacred body modification rituals early, replacing your arms and eyes with vastly superior technological adaptations. It seemed certain that you would become one of the greatest tech lords in history.
And then without warning you were betrayed and everything was lost. Sold out by your closest allies and framed as a criminal. You were sentenced to be executed and placed in stasis. However, at the last minute, your final remaining friend came to your aid and rescued you from your fate.
You now find yourself fleeing in a stolen transport pod with only a small amount of essential technology and equipment. Your destination is the forbidden lands. A harsh desert environment where you may be able to hide from your enemies long enough to regain your standing, prove yourself innocent, and reclaim your status as techlord.
The dangers you will face will be immeasurable. Your enemies will surely send armies of mechanoids to hunt you.You will also have to deal with bands of roaming pirates and primitives that desire to steal your technology and resources.
Last but not least, there are rumors of mysterious insect hives that are said to be found in the forbidden zone. If you are to survive, you must quickly establish a garrison to protect yourself from the many threats you are sure to face.
