Vanilla Brewing Expanded NERFED
Congrats to the Vanilla Expanded crew for making their MODS very Vanilla. And their Brewing Expanded MOD is no exception. Hence the need for this MOD as I feel vanilla RW is also too high/long on the alcohol effects.
It was brought to my attention in my Beer Is Alright MOD that the alcohol in the VBE MOD needed my same attention. I hadn't tried the VBE MOD yet so I did and started writing this MOD after playing one year in game. I found that a gourmet cocktail with two ingredients made every one of my colonists black out with one dose in 24 hours. I tested other drinks from the MOD and found that blackouts happen with the following dosages, per day: Ambrandy was 2, double whiskey was 3, fine cocktail was 2. I lowered the drug policies for those colonists forced to take those drinks until they didn't black out and ran the colony for a year. Everyone was addicted, most massively and had cirrosis. How can two drinks a day cause cirrosis in less than a year? Time to write a NERFED patch.........
Simply, this MOD makes it so you can have a few drinks a day and not get the severe effects so quickly.
I could go over what was changed for each of the drinks, about 10 of them, but since alcohol high was changed a little different for each drink I'll just say which things were changed and about how much for them all.
Alhohol High was reduced ranging from 25% to 75% to normalize them all, though double whiskey and lavish and gourmet cocktails are still a little more potent.
Alcohol Tolerance was reduced from .025 to .0025.
Minimum Tolernace to Addict was increased from .25 to .75.
Existing Addiction Severity Offset was reduced from .2 to .05.
Ambrandy however wasn't touched. It seems such a rare thing taking twice the fermentation I would assume its very very potent.
Uses XPATH Patching only and overwrites no core or mod files.
Safe to add and remove at any time.
Must have the VBE mod to use this one and place this one below VBE in the MOD order.
A check for VBE is built in of course :)
