Your ship was enroute to rendezvous for what seemed a fairly inconspicuous delivery of illicit goods when it was hailed by another ship with the following message “This is the Empire, your crew is wanted for trafficking of illegal goods. A bounty has been placed on your head. Come peacefully or you will be destroyed.”
Rather than surrender to certain imprisonment or execution, you and two of your crew members made the decision to escape via a set of cloaked emergency pods attached to your ship. The only planet close enough to reach was determined to be an infamous volcanic hellscape known to be inhabited by brutal, technologically advanced pirate and mechanoid factions.
Your pods are outfitted with basic equipment including survival meals, medicine, charge pistols, and some protective gear. You will need to scavenge for other materials if you have any chance of making it.
You have landed in what appears to be an extremely hot and hostile environment filled with lakes of lava and ancient abandoned ruins. You need to find a way to entrench yourself and build a base within the protection of the ancient walls or mountains themselves as soon as possible.
The entire planet is sure to soon be alerted to your presence and the bounty placed on your heads. You need to stay alive long enough to build a ship to get you off this hellscape and away from the empire. Good Luck.
Game Concept:
This is an extremely tough scenario. You will be constantly raided by forces with deadly firepower. There are no insect infestations in this scenario as the volcanic environment is too hot for them to burrow in. You may build into the mountain without concern. No caravan travel is allowed as the surface of the world is covered with lava and is far too dangerous to traverse on foot. You may still make use of transport pods though.
