Mobile Suit Gundam: Zeon brings the Zeon mobile suit lineup from Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 into RimWorld as fully modular, fully playable Exosuit Framework exosuits. Four suits. Four weapons. Three built-in abilities. One Year War. The Principality of Zeon sends its regards. [hr] 🟢 SUITS [hr] MS-06F ZAKU II — Standard Production Type The backbone of the One Year War. The suit that made the Federation afraid. If there is such a thing as a reliable mobile suit, the Zaku II is it — solid armour, two weapon hardpoints, and enough raw performance to carry an entire war on its shoulders. It did. Hardpoints: right arm (machine gun), left shoulder (bazooka), right shoulder (heat hawk) No built-in abilities. It doesn't need them. [hr] MS-06S CHAR'S ZAKU II — Commander Type The Red Comet's personal machine. The S-type runs the same basic frame as the F-type, but with a tuned reactor, tighter actuator calibration, and a sensor system reconfigured for higher combat tempo. In Char's hands it performed at three times standard operational effectiveness. The red paint is original. It was chosen to be seen. Hardpoints: right arm (machine gun), left shoulder (bazooka), right shoulder (heat hawk) Built-in ability: Char Kick — rocket-assisted thruster strike. Fast melee, two quick blunt impacts in rapid succession. [hr] MS-07B GOUF — Close-Combat Specialist The Gouf looks like a Zaku. It isn't one. The frame geometry is Zaku-derived but the internals have been rebuilt for close-combat tempo: denser actuator bundles, higher-torque leg drive, and forearm armour that adds protection at the cost of manipulator finesse. Its preferred engagement distance is zero. Its operators in the One Year War noted it drew disproportionate fire — something about the way it moved communicated specific, immediate danger. Hardpoints: right arm (machine gun), right shoulder (heat hawk) Built-in ability: Heat Rod — left-arm electric whip. Melee with an EMP arc sweep on contact — stuns mechanoids, staggers organics. [hr] MS-09 DOM — Heavy Assault Platform The Dom is the end of an argument. Hover jets for near-silent high-speed ground movement. The thickest armour of the Zeon production line. A mass that makes every unarmed strike a structural event. The standard tactic for Dom units was to not stop moving — something that large, moving that fast, is extremely difficult to engage effectively at any range. Hardpoints: right arm (machine gun), left shoulder (bazooka) Built-in ability: Scattering Beam Cannon — chest-mounted beam spread. Area suppression, no module required. [hr] 🔫 MODULE WEAPONS [hr] ZMP-50D 120mm Machine Gun The original Zaku arm weapon. Six rounds per burst. The sound it makes crossing open ground became one of the defining acoustic signatures of the One Year War. Standard fit on early-production Zakus everywhere. MMP-80 90mm Machine Gun The late-war upgrade. Faster cycle rate, better accuracy, lighter feed mechanism. The MMP-80 was what happened when Zeon engineers spent two years learning what the 120mm was doing wrong. Preferred fit on the Dom and the S-type. 280mm Zaku Bazooka Anti-ship rocket launcher adapted for ground engagement. One shot per reload. The round is large enough that impact with anything lighter than a Federation cruiser is considered overkill. It continues to be used anyway. MS Heat Hawk A titanium battle axe with a thermally-heated blade that burns through armour at contact. The Heat Hawk is not a backup weapon. It is a preference. Zeon pilots who carried one tended to use it first. [hr] ⚡ BUILT-IN SUIT ABILITIES [hr] Char Kick (MS-06S Char's Zaku II) A rocket-assisted thruster strike at close range. Fast melee — two quick blunt impacts in rapid succession. Low individual damage, high pressure. The MS-06S closes distance and hits before the target can respond. No module required. Available as a gizmo button while the suit is worn. Heat Rod (MS-07B Gouf) The Gouf's left-arm integrated electric whip. Close-range melee with an EMP arc sweep on contact — stuns mechanoids and staggers organics. The Heat Rod was one of the Gouf's defining close-combat tools in the One Year War — it is here for the same reason. No module required. Scattering Beam Cannon (MS-09 Dom) A beam projector mounted in the Dom's chest, firing a spread pattern effective against clustered targets. Functions similarly to a spray weapon — lower per-target damage, high area coverage. No module required. Activates as a dedicated weapon gizmo. [hr] ⚙️ MODULE SYSTEM [hr] Each suit is split into a core frame and independent slot modules. The core frame installs in an Exosuit cradle and defines the suit's hardpoints. Weapon modules slot independently into those hardpoints and can be swapped mid-campaign without dismantling the core. Everything is researchable and craftable at the Fabrication Bench. Research is tiered — unlock the Zaku II first, then branch to the S-type, the Gouf, and the Dom as your colony's tech level grows.
